taillight and parking light problem

i have 2006 aveo hatchback one of the taillight and one of the parking light wont turn on even with new bulbs any idea PLZ help as this is really frustrated as I cant figure out what the problem is.

Did you check the fuse? are they both on the same side? Do your dash lights work? Do the brake lights work? Do your license plate lamps work? and, did you check the fuse?

Everything work except the the light I mention I didn't check the fuse but wat u mean they both on the same side

...dont know if serious. "wat" I mean is that if the front non-functioning bulb is on the passenger side, is the rear non-functioning bulb also on the passenger side? Also, it is pretty common knowledge (or so I thought) to check the fuse(s) before going out and replacing bulbs willy-nilly. A $.50 fuse is much cheaper than a red 1157 and amber 1157, thats like what, $6 on the low end?

Oh did you test the socket to make sure you got power there. By a test light with light on. might be a loose wire or broken wire.
