Slow Coolant Leak
Hi all, I've been really busy lately, and haven't had a chance to post updates, but I got my 2008 Aveo5 on the road, added a new stereo, alloy wheels, changed the oil and filter, and it seems to be running great.
However I seem to have a slow coolant leak, and I'm not sure where I should be looking, does anyone have any advice for common problems? I loose maybe 4oz over a week (around 300 miles) there are no puddles on the ground, no visible leaks anywhere I can see, the car runs fine, and does not overheat even when driven hard up steep hills, (40+ mph in 3rd up a 12% grade) the coolant looks clean and there doesn't seem to be anything in it, and the oil looks fine as well. I'm going to keep a close eye on the oil over the next few weeks to see if it gets higher on the dipstick, but other than that I'm at a loss of where to look
Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure if you've replaced your thermostat housing yet, but the one that comes from the factory is a POS. It's a single piece of plastic with the thermostat trapped inside. I had a similar problem as well, and it was coming from the plastic housing. I replaced it with a metal two-part housing where you can actually access and replace the thermostat, which solved my leaking problem.

Thanks, I've got a Metal one, but it is pretty grungy, when I get the chance I'm gonna clean it up and see if that's where the leak is.
