      Overheating....HELP

When the engine is up to temp, it slow rises then goes back to the middle of the gauge. The coolant is dexcool and and the thermostat housing was replaced due to the plastic one cracking. Would the a/c have anything to do with it running hot? And how much freon is supposed to be in the a/c system?

The A/C has nothing to do with overheating.

You need to check if to see if you are losing fluids anywhere, check to see if your fan is running correctly as well, if at all.

The new thermostat housing may not have been sealed all the way, and could be leaking. Other things to look at include the water pump and radiator. Look at all of your hoses as well.

You may just need some fluid somewhere, but I would have it checked out if you can not find nothing (overheating can be very bad).

There are also a ton of threads with other related issues, you may want to search if you want more info. Welcome to the forum btw!

Water pump is hidden behind timing cover , thought it a/c condensation So make sure it is off and water is full
