      [SOLVED] Not in Park

Just got a 2011 Aveo and threw it in park and it was in fact not in Park. Had to unlock the shifter and row down and up again.

Is this an adjustment or something worse?

Edit: I could not find adjustment instructions specific to the 2011 Aveo so I just removed the center console, saw nothing, so had my someone wiggle the lever while I observed the engine bay. The mounting bracket was loose. Works much better now. Can't get it to not engage anymore.

I am not surprised, neutronscott. The manual 5spd after about 90 thousand miles falls apart because its linkage is made of plastic on steel with some grease...(this is in the boot in the cabin) so that the auto has a 'bit of an issue' does not surprise me Just don't get ripped offe, eh?
