      Question no dash lights

hello, new here and just a backyard DIYer.

UGH! been all over looking for answers. now I'm here hoping someone has it.

Dash lights not turning on. bulbs are good, i'v checked fuses, all good, relay all good getting 13 volts. however at the dimmer switch i'm getting 5.7 volts. checked wiring, looks good. i ran a hot wire of 13 volts from battery to dimmer switch plug hoping to bypass swicth and hardwire the lights on. when i added 13 volts to the wires still no lights

I bet your right rear taillight is out as well?

Check out the plastic Splice connector in the underhood fuse box. I bet it is burnt to a crisp between the purple (rt illum light) and the first brown wire (cluster lgts).

      thank you

all fuses getting power, and yes i checked the splice connector, that problem w/splice connector ended with 2008 model. all outside bulbs are good-

why when i ran a hot 13 volt wire to plug to jump the pins it did no good?

Try jumping pins 2 and 3. See if that gives you illumination.

The problem did not end with the 2008 model. They moved the jumper pack to under the dash. Here is a thread with a blurry schematic of the wiring in question: https://www.aveoforum.com/forum/f108...18/index7.html

Interior lights get power from the Park Lamp relay. It is a brown/white wire that comes from the underhood relay through a fuse and directly to the splice pack. From there it splits into a bunch of brown/white wires to power the various interior lights from the cluster lights, to the HVAC lights, hazard light switch, and the gear indicator lights.
