Mystery part - WHAT IS THIS BROKEN PART?

I discovered this part while changing the radiator in my wife's 2007 Aveo5. It looks like some sort or high heat resistor that has failed, cracked , and crumbled. I am thinking it may be some sort of resistor for the daytime running lights because they have not worked in a long time. I thought I might have smoked the DRL module or relay due to using 90/130 watt bulbs. Anybody know what this actually is and do I need it? I really do not want the DRLs to work any how.Name: Mystery part #3.jpg

Size: 293.2 KB It was located on the driver's side "frame" beside the battery pan. The only numbers I could find that may have been the part # were "DWR 94580776"

that number is Valid, it came back as a "Resistor" but that part Number's been Superseded with a new part number: 94812213 (Scootaloo also has that resistor you speak of, but with the Superseded Part Number)

That resistor is used both for DRL, and cooling fan. If your fans still work your probably fine, but I would definitely check them.

Are you changing the radiator for an overheating problem? maybe it's because the fans weren't coming on anymore?

The radiator had a leak in it from where the fan housing rubbed a tiny hole in the radiator.
