Lurching/ Hesitation
Hey everyone, I have a 2006 Aveo LS with 178,000 miles. It has intermittently had a CEL with the throttle position sensor code but has had no physical problems driving for a very long time.
Recently, I notice it lurching when I am in reverse or drive kinda coasting in or out of parking spaces. Tonight I was driving to work when I noticed the car lurching/ hesitating if I was around 2000 RPM in 4th gear. If i hit the gas and keep the RPM up above like 2300 it seems to drive fine, if I let off the gas it seems fine even at 2000 RPM.
The problem seems consisten regardless of engine heat or weather.
Do I need a new throttle body or what? any ideas?

Very strong possibility. I would try cleaning the throttle body if you haven't done so already. I had the same problem with mine and nobody could figure it out so I splerged and bought a new throttle bottle. Yes it fixed it but I think if I would have done a good cleaning to it first it would have been fine.
