Loud knocking noise

I need help finding out what’s wrong with my 2006 Aveo. The car used to make a click sound when turning, stopping, and/or accelerating. After a month of that, it finally turned into a loud knocking noise. I have a feeling it’s all related. The car still starts. I noticed a gouge in the front left tire, so I removed it and noticed this:
