      Kalos 1.2 P0342

      Hi Everyone.

Could do with some pointers re. my faultless - until now - little Chev Kalos which has started spitting this code.
Refers to cam sensor as you'll know. Replaced today, but 3 cycles (start ups) later, always pops back up. Battery seems ok, no cranking issues with starter either.
Was wondering if anyone had come across this at some point to save me digging deeper and going up blind alleys. Many thanks,

Typically those sensors work by magnet using the hall effect. This generates a pulse. So if the first sensor was bad and the second one was bad, then check the wiring to the ECU. I also would check the connector. This can be done by finding the wire set between the two.

Sorry I don't have the wiring schematic for the 1.2

Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....
