Irritating Noise

Own 2009 LS5 . Noise sounds like stone in tire tread on drivers side but begins at 50 mph. Becoming irritating. Believe its wind generated but only guessing. Checked for loose fitting parts in area of noise but things seem ok. Anyone have idea or similar problem ? Thanks in advance.

with a description that vague, it'll be hard for anyone to help you online... it's an 09 still on warranty, let the dealership figure it out.

I realize that it has been a year since the original post, but I have nearly the same car and problem: '09 LT5, noise is on the passenger side, sounds like stone in the tire, but there is nothing there. It starts at about 25MPH for me, varies with the speed of the car, not engine RPMs. I have inspected axle boot, brake, and axle shaft but can't see anything that seems likely. My father-in-law's rental '11 Focus did the exact same thing...

Figure out which wheel it's coming from, then disassemble and check your brakes - particularly if they are drum brakes.
