Intermittent Oil Light

Hello! First time posting but I’ve been fixing my 08 Aveo for years based on answers from here lol.

A few days ago as I was getting off on an exit, my oil light came on for the first time ever. Not for long, just the time I was braking until I was accelerating again. As I was driving home, I noticed the oil light would only come on as I was decreasing speed and my car was running under 2000rpm. As soon as I accelerate over 2000rpm it goes away. It also flashes sometimes when idling and I’ve started to notice a small kind of clicking noise (which I think sounds like some kind of chain clinking is the best I can explain it). What could be the problem here? I just got my oil changed a few weeks ago and the levels look fine.

The most probable answer is your oil pressure sensor is failing and needs replacement.
