Interior Cargo Lights not turning on.

Hello everyone, I seem to have come into an issue with my cargo lights. I have tried to replace the light bulb and it has not worked. the dome light in the front does work however so i really doubt it would be a fuse issue, unless i'm missing something. it could be i bought a dud bulb but not sure. any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.

If you had replaced the light bulb and it does not work. Do check the fuse. Sometimes they single fuse a circuit. The next thing to check is the switch. I just look in my trunk you know I could not figure out where is the switch.

I can confirm the switch is in the latch mechanism on the 2009 Hatchback Aveo. When I need to leave it open for a while I will swing the latch so it's as if the cargo hatch is closed and the lights will turn off.

Exactly where in the latch, I have no idea. Never had a reason to go digging for it either.
