Idiot Light "HOOD"
I just finished changing my timing belt, water pump, etc and all went well. It took about 12 hours, but I also changed the valve cover gasket at the same time. The engine now runs with a purr, due to spark plug change, but I did find that the water pump was going bad. That made the whole thing worthwhile, but now that I am done I have two issues that have now popped up.
First, I am getting a po113, but I usually do after it rains and it goes out after a day or two. It has been raining hard lately, so this doesn't worry me.
Second, the idiot light, "hood" is now on. Now the idiot may be me, but why in the world would the word "hood" show up right next to the clock? I did check to make sure that the hood was firmly closed and seated.
Any suggestions as to what this may be caused by or where the sensor for the open hood may be?
Thanks for the help!

It is not hood, but hold :D
Is it blinking? As for the code, I would run it to see what it is when it is on just for the heck of it, but if it runs good then I would not worry about it.

Yep, it was hold and it is blinking. That's what I get for not using my glasses when reading things. As for codes, the only one I am getting is P0113. That's a sensor or something. That usually goes off when it is raining and between the last ten days of rain and the coolant from the water pump that I just replaced, I know why I am getting that. It usually goes out in 2-3 days after it stops raining.

Found the problem on the code. I failed to plug the sensor back in after I reinstalled the hose. Now I know why they call them "Idiot" lights.

That works out :D
Is the hold light still flashing?

Nope! Went for a drive today and all seems well. Now the trick is to give a week or so and make sure all is well. Thanks to every one for the help!

We did not really help you much, but your welcome :D
Good job on the timing belt as well!
