How to unclip O2 Sensor Connector

hello all, i found a post about my issue over 12 years ago, 2013.
      i have a 2006 Aveo
anyway, i am having the same trouble with disconnecting the connector. of course, the web just shows all kinds of connectors (easy ones at that) except mine on 2006 chevy aveo.
the picture in the 2013 post is the first that i see that looks just like mine. so, maybe someone can remember something that you did that is not in the 2013 thread???

      thank you in advance.

btw, i am not changing the sensor, i am just changing the heat shield that has a part that has rusted off.
