how to disassemble a weatherpak connector?
So, while I wait to get the new engine for the Aveo, I need to fix something I broke while removing the old engine. I was removing a single wire weatherpak connector and pulled the wire right out of it. I'd rather not buy a new connector as I think I'd have to order it online. Does anyone know how to get the metal female connector out of these things? An example of the connector is shown below. You obviously remove the top snap thing, but I still can't get the metal part out of the plastic housing.

Did a bit more digging. Apparently the female connectors look like this:

And, they make a special tool that looks like this:

And, I will be running to my hardware/hobby store to find a nice little piece of thin walled tube to get this done without spending $30 on a stupid hand tool. :)

Alright, well that wasn't the right connector. But, I ended up finding mine. Here is a pic (female) for anyone who twists theirs off removing the oil pressure switch. :)
You just have to insert something very small into the front of the connector to lift the tab. Then, you can push it out.

Yup, soldered it up last night. Got pics but it was late so I didn't post em.
