Hold light flashing with engine light on

I have a 2004 model Hold light flashing with engine light on the car would stall and cut off and would only restart after about 10 mins. Any ideas/solutions would be appreciated.Thanks

I believe the flashing hold light has you in a reduced power mode to protect the engine/transmission.
You need to get the OBD code so you will have an idea of where the fault is.
It could be something as simple as corroded plugs or dirty air intake, but you’ll need the code to have any idea where to start diagnosing!

Thanks JB_FRASER.The hold and cel is not constantly on.On a couple of occasions made appointments to have the car scan but the lights were normal.Will post the codes as soon as I can get thru the scan.

Diagnostic scan showed the code P0106 map sensor.i got a replacement and installed it this afternoon so will be monitoring the vehicle and would post the findings
