Heater Fan sporadically works!

I bought a 2005 Aveo in June, everything has been good with it until now... went to turn on the interior defrost, and nothing! no fan in any speed, you can hear the controls working when you switch the dial to Vents, A/C (compressor turns on)... etc but no blowing fan... started driving home from work, and after about 5 miles the fan starts blowing at full speed!... all is good until this evening when, once again, no fan... any ideas?

You need to run diagnostic testing on the fan when it fails to turn on.
