Heater Core?

'06 1.6L. So I've noticed a drip behind the ac compressor bracket to engine of coolant. I just replaced the water pump and checked all the hoses and thermo housing and all looks good but there's a drip behind said bracket. I'm thinking heater core. I've never replaced it since I purchased the car 11 years ago although I did have to replace the hoses several years ago. Anyone else have a leak coming down from behind that bracket? Was it the heater core? And finally any write ups on removing the heater core?

When my heater core went, it was evident in the cabin. The windshield would have condensation, you would smell antifreeze, etc.
I would bet its one of the heater hoses, if you replaced the gasket on the water pump with a NEW one.
Just hope its Not the heater core. You will need to disassemble most of the interior dash to gain access to the heater core.
Not a job for the inexperienced.

Double check the thermostat housing. If it’s plastic, I bet it’s leaking there.
