      Headlights are draining my battery

Hello, I have a new-to-me 2005 Aveo. Has 108,000 miles and evidence of a minor front end collision. My problem: Drove it without incident for 3 weeks, then parked it while out of town. When I returned, tried to start her to go to work and there was nothing. When jumped, the headlights were on, so figured I forgot to turn them off. Alas, this jump-every-time-I-drive her has been the situation for 4 weeks. Checked all the fuses, and the drain is somewhere in the headlights. I'm assuming it's an exposed wire making contact with metal? (Note: made an adjustment to the positive battery cable and it significantly reduced the drain.) What I am in need of: a wiring schematic of the free kind, because I work part time and go to school full time. I LOVE this little car and I would absolutely love to drive her without incident. Or, be able to just drive her. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you pull your headlight fuse does it fix the issue? That would at least get you by until you can figure the rest out.

You sure it isn't just a bad battery?

A car battery can only be drained a couple times before it is trash. If you are constantly having to jump it I'm thinking its a bad battery...
