Exhaust removal and replacement - how to?

06 aveo ls. The cat is done and the entire system other than the manifold needs to be replaced. I'm curious about whether anyone has performed this or if there is a particular thread discussing this issue? From what I can see it looks pretty simple - I can cut the muffler off and then cut the resonator pipe from the down pipe and from there remove the bolts of the cat attached to the manifold and lift that portion out. Most of the bolts/flanges are in stage 4 cancer so no sense in trying to remove them when it would be easier to cut portions off. But anyway any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

It’s totally cut and dry. Easy peasy especially with the hot wrench. Buy a good cat. All of the $100 ones are garbage.
