      Exhaust mid-pipe

Has anyone had the mid-pipe replaced on their exhaust? I've heard it referred to as the mid-pipe and also resonator. Dealer wants about $350 to replace. I've called around to all the muffler shops and none of them can get me pricing for it. I pay cash for my repairs and need to know how much to save up before heading into a shop. I'd like to get an idea if I can expect the muffler shops to be considerably cheaper. I don't want to spend the better part of a day going from shop to shop so any feedback would be appreciated.

Considering the part has rusted out, is it likely I would be able to tackle this myself? I've never replaced exhaust components. Do they unbolt? Does it have to be cut out? If so, how to re-attach it?
      Thanks.

it does unbolt if you get the whole factory length replacement. I am surprised it rusted out.

if you get a factory one, and its a superceded part to the 09 + mid pipe, it is all stainless. might be worth the extra money?

$350?? wow thats a total rip off. When I did my exhaust, I had a 70% resonator installed and new 2" piping to my muffler for $150 at my local exhaust shop....I believe my resonator was 70-80 bucks.
