Cracked ceramic resistor - what is it for?

Hello. This is my first post on this forum.

I have a 2007 Aveo (sedan), and was replacing my left headlight housing when I saw this cracked resistor. What
does it do? Is it for the cooling fan, or something else? Anyone know a part number? Thanks in advance for any replies or answers!

Just a FYI the weak point of our cars is the timing belt and associated components. They should be changed every 60,000 miles or roughly every 5 years. Please make sure you keep up on that or your motor turns into a boat anchor.
