car will not turn off when key is out

Today when my wife was driving home from work the radio in car and other console features would not turn on. Part of the way home they turned on. When she got home the car would not turn off when she took key out. I had to pull the fuel pump relay to shut car off. Then all light were still on so I disconnected battery for the night. Any idea whats wrong, where to start?

Bad ignition switch. Get it replaced ASAP. It's very dangerous as the car could turn off while driving.

I would try the ignition switch as well. IT could be the relays in the fuse box as well. But since it is more likely one failure than many, its most likely the ignition switch.
