Finally someone listened to me! I took it back to my mechanic and insisted that I'm not crazy...and sure enough it was the tie rod! It actually broke off while at my mechanic so I got there just in time!

I've given up on trying to maintain alignment on my 2006, you're right that it seems like a lost cause. My steering wheel too, has been wonky for years.

don't sell it its a cheap eco car that's fun to drive. My steering wheel has been crooked since ive owned it. alignment is out of wack so what drive it till it falls off the road while you save money.

Keeping this car in alignment is a PITA. If you have a Firestone nearby, invest in their lifetime alignment plan. I have to go every few months to have an alignment done and recently learned I need shims installed.
