Re: Camshaft Position Sensor
If you take off the plastic cover on the engine, you'll see the plug for it on the left hand (passenger) side. Its the connector on the end of the engine. You'll need to remove the upper timing belt cover to get at it.
Re: Camshaft Position Sensor
THANKS DAOX!!
I will take a look at it tomorrow and update whether the new senor solves the problem.
Thanks again!
Re: Camshaft Position Sensor
How did you make out...? Cause I am going through the same crap!
My car died when i was on the highway, started loosing Power, put my foot into the gas and it bogged right down and died. NO smashing noises, so that makes me think its NOT the timing belt. So it sat at the shot for 2 weeks and NOTHING! they didn't even look at it. i got it home yesterday, took the timing belt cover off and the belt was still good, so i thought maybe the cam positioning sensor, so i hooked up (3030 - CanOBD2 Code Reader) and it wouldn't give me a code. wouldn't read Catalyst monitor, plus 4 more. ANY help would be great!
Re: Camshaft Position Sensor
sound like a fuel pump.. or at least something in the fueling if more gas is bogging down the car, it doesnt have enough fuel to match the air added with the throttle plate..
Re: Camshaft Position Sensor
When I turn the key to the on position I can hear the pump working. If it was the camp positioning sensor (CPS) it will cut off fuel at the injectors no? Because if the CPS tripped the cams will then stop, sending a signal to the computer telling it to cut off fuel. Correct me if I'm wrong. I am new with playing with Aveo engines.
