      brake flutter

just throwing this out there to get any opinions /ideas.wife claims she can feel brake flutter/shutter/vibration what ever you wish to call it.happens only on highway with warm brakes slowing from 130km-100km dosnt happen at other speeds.i know a warped rotor can cause this symptom but vehicle only has 39,000km so dont want to change/turn rotor until ready for new brakes than will probly just go with drilled slotted rotors.was wandering what else might cause this symptom?i know these year of cars had a problem with speed sensor front passenger side(recall well known) but didnt think that would cause this symptom.

where does she feel the vibration? in the pedal, in the steering wheel, etc?

      do you have abs?

it could be a rotor but it would be at any aggressive stop, most likely. I'm not sure how to go about this over the internet, pull the wheel and look?

she feels it only on brake;i do have abs ,its not from an agressive stop(hammering on brakes) but it is when slowing down reasonably quickly from hyway speeds only

i would verify its not the abs "working" first before tearing into, or replacing anything.

since it is only on the pedal, it could just be glazed pads, etc. Do you use the ebrake often? it could be in the rear. As imho at that speed, slowing with a warped front rotor, should transfer something to the steering.

The rotor could get warped that quickly if the lug nuts were overtightened. Have seen that fairly often.
