Bit off more than i could chew

So i bought this 09 aveo5 lt, standard from a friends friend. Car has a salvage title in her name and no key, i figure for the price, no problem ill have a key remade and be good to go. WELLLLLLL i was wrong. when i got the car I went to buy the car it had been broken into and the assholes ate up the ignition cylinder and cut the wire from the ignition switch to try and hotwire it. I decided to buy the car anyways cause i like projects and because it could be a decent car for a while(yes i decided that even after all the reviews i read, I live in texas and she said it has good AC....I WANT AC)

SO Im assuming they pretty much supplied direct power to all the wires on the ignition switch and hurt the cars feelings since the only reactions im getting from the car after putting the wires back to the ignition switch and turning it without a key are the dome light and the notification light that a door is open.
I will look more into the wiring diagram tomorrow at work to see what they could have possibly burnt by supplying power to the ignition switch wires BUT i was hoping that someone might be able to point me into a general direction of where else i could look.

I have also just got a "new" ignition column(not sure if thats the correct name(ignition switch, steering lock, ignition cylinder and the aluminum housing),key, cluster and ecu. when i say new i mean off a totalled one from a junk yard. I put all those parts in but no luck

Any advice is appreciated and sorry for the long post(havent been on a forum since Modding halo and xboxs was a thing).

well found the fix. nothin major. burnt fuse and new ignition
