Airbag light on after battery replacement. Anyone find fix?

I am new to this forum.
Actually came here to find solution to this issue.
I have read all I could find here on airbags and the light/srs system.

Really,... replace battery and get airbag error.
All the auto parts and repair, other than $$Chevy dealer$$, say they don't have the ability with their
OBDEC reader to clear.

Two years now. Many battery disconnects & reconnects, unplugged and replugged all seats (didn't think it would help, but eh, tried it), pulled, tested the fuse to the system, no help.

Has anyone come up with a fix?

Sounds like the airbag module needs to be cleared with specialized equipment. IE. not doable with an OBD code reader/resetter.

Well. I broke down and donated $100 to the local Chevy dealer to clear the airbag light.
Came back with shorted passenger-side occupant detector shorted.
Cost would be about $230, in labor, to replace.
Tech said he has seen this before, voltage/current surge when battery is replaced.

I think I saw somewhere the resistance is supposed to be about 8 ohms.

Gonna pull the seat and see what that sensor (switch?) looks like.
