2009 Aveo
My Hold light started flashing. A scanner has revealed a P0128 code.
(coolant not reaching temperature) Thermostat is fine.
Engine coolant sensor is reading low even with engine warmed up.
I am not able to locate the sensor. I have even contacted “ask expert pros”
and they didn’t know. I suspect ,that on 2009 Aveo it has a different location
then previous year models.
Thank you.

Hello charlieb,
Thank you for the information. I have looked for the sensor using the image, but still can not find it.
On Monday I will go to the dealer, to see if they know. When I find it, I will post the location.
Thank you again,

I went to a dealer and asked them about the coolant temperature sensor.
Their information would place it in a head, behind air intake, bit to a left from the center
of a motor. I have yet to actually locate it. I was able to reset the fault code,
but the car has not been driven since.

If the code does not come back (or the hold light has stopped flashing) then I would not worry about it. My car has throws random codes once in a while, most cars do and will. You are pass the warrenty on it already?

if you have access to a host, or able to bring the car off the ground, it is very easy to see, the next time i lift my car i will take a picture and send to you, its on the back side of the motor under the intake, hard to explain exactly where, but i will post a picture when i have the chance.
