2008 jerky acceleration
I have a 2008 Aveo 5 hatchback 120,000 miles and well maintained.
I have a jerky bucking type of acceleration in first and second gear. Replaced factory spark plug wires with OEM Delco thought problem solved. Couple of months later same problem. Found the intake hose clamp loose , hose was loose thought that was the problem replaced clamp and it still does it. It's a bucking, jerking hesitation in acceleration when going through gears until a higher rpm is reached. I don't have any codes and I checked for air leaks by spraying WD 40 and no rpm change.
I am wondering maybe bad spark plug (they were changed 30,000 miles ago) or maybe coil pack?
I'm very frustrated at this point hoping someone can lead me in the right direction.

Have you checked to see if there is oil in the spark plug wells? Leaking valve cover gaskets is very common and oil accumulating in the plug wells can cause misfire issues. No codes is puzzling however because enough misfire to cause jerking should definitely set one or more codes.

I found the problem. I reset all spark plug wire boots on the coil and it seemed to do the trick. I don't think any one of them moved more that 1/8" but it did the trick and car runs smooth. Crazy??
