2007 headlights will not turn off having to disconnect batery

      Hello
I have an 07 hatchback that my daughter drives. She called and said her headlights will not turn off and that she is disconnecting the battery to keep it from running down. She also said the break lights stay on when the car is running. Does any one have an idea what's going on or maybe some one had this happen to them?

I would first try with disconnecting the headlight switch and see if they stay on. If they do, it is most likely a stuck relay. Also, its easier to pull a fuse than disconnect a battery. I suggest she does that. As far as the brake lights, I do believe gm had a problem with their brake light switches, although usually they don't come on rather than stay on. Try lifting the brake pedal up by hand.

Well, no luck so far. I picked up the car this morning and took it to the dealer. I will post the solution soon as we have one. Thanks for the help!

I am quite amazed no one has mentioned DRL module - make sure when the deal diagnoses this that they have explored the DRL relay. Point out it is a recallin Canada and see if it will be goodwilled by GM.
