I have not looked at it yet, but I am guessing there is a blown fuse. I also figure that the BTSI Solenoid is out, and its going to continue blowing fuses. Told her to use the shiftlock release to get her going, however I don't think her brake lights work at all. Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or experiences with this?
its most likely the brake switch on the pedal. thats the only common point in the two systems.
Well I read about several instances where replacing the switch didn't fix the problem. However I looked at it and her brake lights are working once it is out of park, but it looked like her taillights weren't working. Don't know if the problem is related. Checked the fuse and it's good. So i'll try replacing the brake switch.

(The part failed twice on the aveo we had over 65000 miles).
Does this apply to cars with manual transmissions?
