I did a presser test on my Aveo. 55 PSI. I can't figure out why its starting occassionally.
I took out the sparks plugs. They didn't seem so dirty. I tested spark. I got spark.
The only that I noticed is that my intake hose is cracked. I used duct tape to seal it. Nothing is working. Can you help. Sometimes it takes me 3 tries to get it started and then, it sputters and dies. What can it be
That doesn't mean the fuel system can't be having a sporadic issue. The next time it doesn't start immediately, try spraying a SMALL amount of carb cleaner or sensor-safe starter fluid into the intake. If you can get it to start and run for (at least) a few seconds every time you try to start, that would confirm it's a fuel problem.Quote:

Although, no signs point to the regulator being faulty. It wasnt leaking. I didn't see gas in or around the vaccum hose. So I guess that rules it out
