'09 LT Aveo surges and has no power

HELP!!!!
I have a 2009 Aveo LT with about 66,000 miles. The car runs fine HOWEVER, at times the engine suddenly loses power and when you step on the accerator pedal, Nothing happens. The car slows down and after a while it is OK like if nothing happened. Its scary on the freeway when I lose power like that.

I replace the air cleaner rubber tube that goes to the TB, cause it was ripped and air was getting in. Worked for a while but back to the same routine.

I have to warning lights and like I said before, everything else is great. Changed the spark plugs and all filters. no help.

Any help would be appreciated.

this is sounding like a gas pressure problem. Maybe an issue with the fuel pump.

Did this Aveo get the recall replacement on the COPs done? If you don't know, call a Chevy and ask them to check if the recall was done for your VIN.

UPDATE:

installed A NEW COIL PACK & iridium spark plugs. Runs OK but still has the same problem. No engine codes. No idea what it could be. When it happens, the engine is running, it just has no power. When I push the gas pedal- no reaction, but will not stall. So I think the ignition is OK or else the engine would just shut off. I'm guessing there is an interruption of fuel. That or the TPS is not sending the signal when the gas pedal is pushed.

Any ideas??????

did you check crankshaft position sensor, fuel pump and fuel pressure?
