I have a 2009 Aveo, I took the battery out to replace . The hood is closed. My wife shut the doors not realising they were locked. The key WILL NOT open either door now . I can get into the trunk but it seems the rear seats have to be unlatched from the inside . Besides a slim jim any other ideas to gain entry in the car ?
      Thanks !

Were your door locks frozen or something that the key wouldn't open them?

its going to be easier to reach through the grill, or from under the car with a screw driver to pop the latch on the hood.

you can just barely see where the pull wire goes into the latch, and pry it enough to pop the hood open..

      kind of like this:

      Spyder:

You said "I can get into the trunk but it seems the rear seats have to be unlatched from the inside".

Simple solution: Crawl into the trunk. Crawl over the rear seats. Crawl into the driver's seat. Then pop the hood opening latch.

If you can't crawl like that, get a small child to do it. Be sure to reward him or her for their effort.

(I thought all spiders could crawl...)
