08 aveo cranks but won't start

Picked up a 08 aveo for $600 lady ran into the back of a jeep so as you can imagine needs new front clip but when I try to start it it will only crank got it to sputter once radiator is obviously shot it's check engine light is on as suspected the airbags did not deploy could it be refusing to start due to the wreck maybe some safety sensors or something along the lines of that ? I'll be giving the car a fresh tune up but just wondering if maybe it has something to do with the wreck
