This is another reason that I'm glad that I unplugged mine. I'm curious to see how GM resolves this, I'll let them re-install the new module if they replace it, and then unplug it. lol

Got my recall notice (2004 model) today, both ignition switch and DRL module. Parts are not available but they will let me know.... So you just unplug the module? Wait... I should just search for it...

That's the best option as of this moment. Mine have been unplugged since the day I bought the car.

Does this apply to the Suzuki Swift+ and Pontiac Wave?

If it has the same DRL module, (to which I assume it does) then yes.

Thanks. A pain in the ass to remove according to the video below. One cannot reach without taking the covers off?

Edit: Are you guys sure this isn't a problem exclusive to automatic Aveo's, etc... ?

Yep, it can be. I was just thankful that panel is easily removed and I didn't have to try and get/see behind it. I believe that connector bit me twice before I got it unplugged, if memory serves me right. lol

Thanks for the tip, will unplug mine soon as I get home. Not really concerned about the recall, but im not a fan of DRL.
