Do you have a part number for the clock module. A mechanic mentioned I would have to change the clock which includes a module on the inside. Is this the solution? The car has been on the road since Sept 2007 thus 6 years ago...he mentioned I did not have any warranty on this. He said the clock would cost $100.00 or more. Would appreciate your comments.

Got the car undercoating done 3 wks ago and the clock works just fine....no more going to 1:00 when the doors are opened....maybe the special lubricant has sealed the possible short??? Just thought I would let you know.

As someone else stated, the clock needs to be replaced. Here's the bad news: I just installed my fourth replacement clock for $150.00 about a month ago...

A couple of months ago I got the car undercoated for the winters months and had the battery post cleaned......since then the clock is working without any problem. My mechanic tells me that it is probably because the battery post were cleaned and now there is a better contact. I have noticed that if the hatch back or if a door is not properly latch the light in the clock is not completely clear.....when closed properly all is fine. Hope this helps you. D
