My information center works OK, but the light on the clock flickers off and on a lot. Today it is OFF all the time. Is there an LED lamp that needs to be replaced and if so maybe some advice on doing the work.

I have the same thing going on... And would also like to know.
Sorry to hear you are experiencing problems with your clock. What year is your Aveo? You may also want to review the Owners Manual for your vehicle as there may be information related to the cause of the clock malfunctioning. You can also, contact your dealership's service department and inquire.Quote:

my 06 clock resets it self every time i open a door it has done it from day 1 of me getting the car???
All my problem is tht the led' light up on clock face does not work or is intermitent. I am going to take out the the module (which is easy) and dig into the unit and find the cold joint, I HOPE.

Our Aveo is a 2005 hatchback. I have checked the manual and see no instructions but will look again

Does the clock have a separate fuse?? I scanned the panel and could not find any. Thank you
what battery I installed a new one last year? clock has its own lol jk
I have had the module out and on the bench and disassembled and NO fuse. Hundreds of solder joints on 2 boards, so could be any of these as mine flickered off and on for awhile and then went out so it must be a cold joint. A used one was $25.00 so I will use my Timex!!
just had a thought can LED lights be connected instead of the clock? Hmmmm?
The clock is an a soldered in complete assy. I too thought it may have been an LED, but it would be a big problem to un-solder all the many clock tabs, like 20 to thirty of them to get to the clock assy.
It was an interesting try to fix as the dash panel just snap out and easy to get to.
I got some led lights and I'm off WED I'm thinking of trying to connect them to where the clock is. my radio tells me the time with the push of a button.
