      Re: Best Yet

The best I've gotten so far with mine I believe was 36 MPG, and that was making a conscience effort to get better mileage. I think I'm into the break in mileage for the car though because I have noticed the mileage getting better lately

      Re: Best Yet

I have had 2 tanks at 43.2mpg now with 80 mi trips home from work at 46.7 and 47.1! My best trip was home from the dentist 20.8 mi 51.1mpg! Yesterday my trip home from work was 45.0 mpg with doing very little work had a heck of a tailwind and set cruise at 57mph on freeway with limit of 70mph! Love this scan gauge!

Trip in to work 9/3 77.2 mi at 40.4 mpg. Cool weather hurts but block heater speeds up warm up process. Drive home 72.8 took diff route... 41.4mpg with lots of traffic and bad head wind. not bad.

      Re: Best Yet (MPG)

      Had a good day,went to my buddy's place 35.8mi drive there @ 50.1mpg .
Drive home was 35.5mi @ 48.8mpg. Got home at 10:30 pm so it was a bit cooler out had 49.6 going but couldn't hold it with the last couple miles being so hilly. Overall not to bad!

I don't see myself doing that. That must require "driving like a grandma" or something. Do people get upset at you on the road?

It must be a driving life style...

      Re: Best Yet (MPG)

as serega said, I can't drive at the low speeds needed for those numbers. However, having owned trucks and suv's my whole life, im happy with the 32-35 I get regularly

      Re: Best Yet (MPG)

I have no issues with people getting mad. There are 2 lanes for a reason and I do most of my commute at speeds between 45-60. If i'm on low traffic roads I drive 30-50mph. I pull to side of the road if there is someone coming behind me almost like reverse passing. I do so without stopping of course. I went to me parents yesterday and got 52.6 mpg on the way home over 12.5 mi. There are many tricks that come into play here and the good thing is I have not perfected them all yet so I will be getting higher numbers. Best I have seen in an aveo was 57.6 mpg in an Aveo 5 with 5spdmt. I have better aero with sedan and beleive I can do better then 57. Many things come into play though, temp, needs to be hot out... wind either can't have any or have it at my back, and traffic, no need to explain that...
