New To The Forum, And In Need Of Advice!

Hi, everyone. I have a 2008 Chevy Aveo, that's driving me batty. I am currently trying to tackle the oil pan gasket, but can't quite figure out as to how I'm going to remove the bolt all the way to the rear of the bell housing, where it sits behind the mount. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I assume you mean the two large bolts that attach through the trans? As I recall you need to undo part of the mount bracket to get it out of the way (at least on an auto). I remember needing to remove something to get all the pan bolts out, and don't forget the two small bolts under the rubber grommet plugs at the rear of the pan.

I hope he's got it from over 6 weeks ago. But in any case for future reference:

I bet he is referring to this bolt, and will need to have the mount bracket dropped down just a bit to get a socket onto it. - Just in case they are still struggling.

Ok I see. Would he have to loosen an engine mount and have a jack in there? Or is it just accessible?

It's actually just some sort of torque limiter that keeps the engine from flopping around, so no engine weight on it, and it can be completely removed if needed for easy access. They seem to ignore this step in the text though. The bolt will not come out unless this bracket is swung out of the way FYI
