I've been lurking for a bit.

So I bought my 07 Aveo hatch Feb. of '18. I was looking for something that could transport my daughter a little more safely than my refrigerator on wheels ('96 Geo Tracker)and preferably a hatchback with 4 doors.

Well, I don't like car dealerships so the first place I check, is Craigslist. I think I searched for well over a month, I looked at over a dozen cars, test drove over half of them, and walked away from all but one.

This ugly little yellow skittle that sat on Craigslist for over a month.

I hated it at first, from appearance wise, but I might as well try it before I completely walk away. I'm no novice at driving a 5-speed, so I hopped in for the test drive and was shocked at how smooth it shifted. I was going to be looking at a civic hatchback that afternoon, and ended up just buying that Aveo and driving home.

I've since retired my Geo, its sitting in my shed now. I've always liked smaller cars and the more I've driven this one, the more I end up liking it. Parts are cheap, low maintenance, plus I won't get pulled over for speeding.

Sometimes I wish that I wasn't 6'2" and 275lbs because it does not look like something I'd drive lol

Nice Aveo! Great color. Don't see a lot in yellow. The Tracker looks pretty decent, too. Is that a 5 speed? Any mods to either car? Btw, I feel your pain. I'm a pretty big guy, too, and although there's loads of headroom inside, it does look weird when I'm driving it.
