Hello from Rochester, NY

Wanted to extend my hellos to everyone in the forum.

The name is Anthony and, as the thread title suggests, I am from Rochester, New York.

Just purchased my 2007 Chevy Aveo5 back in the middle of August, and so far, it has been simply fantastic.

I purchased my "little blue shoebox" for two reasons:

It's my credit re-builder. (22.5% interest baby! =p)

And, my money saver.

I bought my Aveo5 because I was looking for a car that gets good gas mileage and so far I can not be happier.

In the 650 miles I have driven it since I bought it, I've been averaging about 39MPG. Just awesome.

I'll perhaps add more about myself and my car in my profile in the very near future, as well as uploading some more pics.

But for now, just wanted to say "What's up?"

Welcome to the Aveo Forums! any Mods planned for your Little Blue Shoebox?

I'm rather up in the air about Mods at the moment. It's wishful thinking though.

I'm a "practical" driver. It's my commuter car to get me from point 'A' to point 'B'.

I got this car for it's gas mileage, and I couldn't be happier with it. I wouldn't lie that I'm a little cautious of performance Mods that would potentially hinder it's MPG.

In terms of cosmetics... Perhaps. It's the Special Value model so there's absolutely no "bells and whistles" on it. But when all of my driving is less than 20 minutes at a time, all those minor inconveniences don't bother me.

I'm just going to baby it and keep it well-maintained.

But you never know. It's the first car I ever owned personally, so the want to personalize it a little is getting a little stronger. I've seen folks with some pretty nice rides on this board, so we'll see.
