Re: Working on Getting LSJ Swap Kit, anyone interested?
I have a co-worker that looked over the articles.
How much are the engines/tranny running in the Salvage yards? or
What years do the two engines come out of?
I would rather not make my Aveo this kind of project. Don't want to scrap a perfectly good engine.
Your turbo kit would be more my interest.
I want to add A/C.
But in either case, does it trash then idea A/C?
I have not got to look at the articles.
Re: Working on Getting LSJ Swap Kit, anyone interested?
With the proper fitting, A/C will still work...
The 02 Cavy motors will work with this swap as well...
Re: Working on Getting LSJ Swap Kit, anyone interested?

btw i did make the decision a last week to go with the supercharged motor do you think i am doing the right thing or go with the turbo charged motor?
Re: Working on Getting LSJ Swap Kit, anyone interested?
I personally would have gone with the turbo motor after working on the supercharged ones. They are a PITA to get power out of and the aftermarket is smaller. The direct injection turbo motor has shown plenty of potency and finding a turbo to swap is MUCH easier than swapping the heaton on the ss/sc motor.
And anyone doing the swap, do not skimp on the LSD. It is sooooooo worth it. Especially on a light car with power. It is cheaper to get the tranny with the LSD than try to put one in afterward. the parts alone will make it more expensive. Not including the install kit you have to buy and the actual installation.
Re: Working on Getting LSJ Swap Kit, anyone interested?
Whitfield racing can do a full LSJ swap just like they did for the SEMA Aveo for around 10 grand.
Re: Working on Getting LSJ Swap Kit, anyone interested?
The kit is designed and sold to me by Whitfield Racing.
