      Re: Little Engine That Could

finally after all settled in to my new house......i found the time to do my joey mod and get rid of my annoying projector headlights!....and finally get me a HID kit. n have that bimmer blue light!....

      here it is......enjoy....

i took pics of the process.....

instead of doing the oven which i was a little big sceptical about and plus i didnt have no wood or bricks to place them on i used a blow dryer to help melt the exsisting sealant which took ALOT longer than the oven. which i recommend the oven. i just had the time and just not all the materials...

this is when i got them apart. after 20 min of prying....

this is the part you paint....if u have more time than i did....its recomended u sand down as much as u can the paint peels off really easily on the smooth chrome paint on it.....so i had to do maybe 5-6 coats to ensure if it did peels it didnt reveal the chrome...

so this is with the first coat of paint and already starting to look good

my husband helping with painting...even though i did most the work myself....
so this is with the first coat of paint and already starting to look good

this is with it finished and ready to put back togeher...i even added a little stripe of blue...thanks to my husband it was his idea.....i love it...one of a kind!!

all done and put back together just waiting for the sealant to dry then i can put them on my car and look hotter than hot....

      aahhhhh look so good......

pic of my throne...where i flowerish and i at my hottest lol.....and also rockin the hell out of the scan gauge provided by aveoforum....

You just want to lightly scuff the chrome. If you sand it you will get bad scratches.

I used an etching primer before my first coat of black. To help the paint stick and to help the black lay smoother.
