Car looks great. What are the pillar pods from and do you have any pics of them? I want to get 2 or 3 for mine.

pillar pod is moulded into my a pillar cost about 120$ cnd to do. U take a universal pod and then they do a overlay heat it up an all kind of stuff so once all is done it looks stock. Another thing i might do is get it fiberglassed. Both pillars coated in fiberglass and painted orange to match my exterior. I was quoted 450$ for that.

I have a single pod from my truck that I'll try the heating method and see if I can get it to work.

Is there alot of space to pull wire behind the pillar?

Well u drill hole in ur pillar so the hoses and wires from the gauges in the pod can go behind them. And yes there is plenty of space. U need to remove ur pillar by stripping teh weather strip from the door sill and then popping it right out. takes about a minute to pop out. clamp ur pod onto it see where it fits the best. pinch the sides to fit and heat it up and hope for the best. Its best to have it professionally moulded though for the stock look. or if you have money go fiberglass and get all 3 pods done in there and it will look even nicer.

Can you take a pic in daylight from eye height sitting in the car? If someone makes one in fglass I'd want to get one too.

      Re: Late Night Aveo Photoshoot

well im not getting one fabricated form fiberglass but i am getting mien overlaid in fiberglas son both sides a and b pillar with the pod. They r gonna do a smooth finish n paint it orange to match the car.

I was quoted by unique customs in woodbridge ON Canada.
If i want just a pod fabricated to go over the pillar with the same texture and finish as the stock pillar that would be about 250$ for a 2 gauge pod.

      BUT:
I already have the universal pod moulded over my stock pillar so i am going to have my whole pillar done in fiber glass and the b pillar as well to match. I am going to go with the smooth texture rather than the original and i also wanna have my sirrius sattelite radio moulded into the pillar via fiberglass as well. For this job i was quoted 500-650$. Which is not bad at all considering the amazing work they do with fiberglass.

Now for those interested in making their own pod there is a beautiful write up online. Step by step and its very easy in fact. With all the supplies needed to make a fiberglass pod moulded to fit your pillar it will cost you about 50ish dollars to do maybe less.

here is a do it yourself on pillar pods.
