Taken from a 92ish honda accord (discussed in another thread) cut down the pipes, and the couplers are all the right size.
I would recommend multiple fitments, and making your own brackets.
And Fog Lights! :

The car is missing enough of the factory harness that i decided against using any of it. After investigating, i could have entered the factory harness at the junction box beside the battery. But who really wants to take that all apart, and then spend @ $60 for a factory headlight switch? So i ran a relayed harness and switch, i have temp fogs in place until the chrome rings come in at the dealer though, still might order the correct Aveo5 foglights, or just modify the sedan ones i have. Also the switch does well in the spot, if it had the little fog light picture on it then it would appear factory, even though the picture makes it off. (if you install the switch there, you need to take that piece out, and unplug the power mirror switch harness from the back of it.)
Re: Finally took a picture of my car...
I thought you cant do the cruise mod to newer cars. I could be wrong tho. I just thought I remembered reading it.
Re: Finally took a picture of my car...
how much did you lower it by, it looks slammmmed
Re: Finally took a picture of my car...
it is on h&r, with the dead coil removed, and all the rubber isolaters changed to thinner poly ones. it seems to be about 2.25" lower than stock, but i didn't measure before i started and it is still the highest car i have owned. but there is about a 1/2" flat wheel gap left to the stock tires. i measured a bunch of other components while i was under there to make coil overs and a rear disc brake conversion kit. but i didnt measure the ride height, or for the wheel offsets. which is what i grabbed the measuring tool for.
Re: Finally took a picture of my car...

Re: Finally took a picture of my car...
wow!!! looks really nice!! whats this with all these yellow aveos?
Re: Finally took a picture of my car...
if it is any consolation. i picked a yellow aveo before joining this board. so i didnt know it would be so popular. on the street behind my house there are 2 black aveos, a silver one, a red one and a powder blue one (thats just counting hatchbacks), there is also a silver and black sedan.
when i was shopping it was between yellow, that teal color, black and orange. only ones available at the dealer were the teal and yellow (they also had graphite and dark red?). and the teal in person i didnt like all that much. and i have owned 4 yellow cars (67 bug, 85 chevette, 75 rabbit, 89 sedan deville) and have always been partial to yellow.
Re: Finally took a picture of my car...
Hello! Your aveo looks very sporty in yellow. And lowering is cool too. Hope you don't have much snow in winter. :-) I often see a yellow hatchback parked in front of the house opposite my building. And there is lots of other hatchbacks in the area. And often see one in a rare light blue green color near the garages that I can see from my window.
Just saw that funny advertisement on TV with a dancing Citroen C4 transformer.
Re: Finally took a picture of my car...
I'm all about the yellow aveos :)
