Some brilliant rally videos I found on street fire

      http://videos.streetfire.net/video/aa86 ... 14e0c9.htm

A documentary on the FIA Group B rally class. Very few limitations on design and construction. These were the fastest rally cars ever to be built. The ford RS200 boasted a 0-60 at around 2.1 seconds. Nothing has since, or ever will sound or look like these cars.

My wife and me had the pleasure of seeing the Lancia 037, Ford RS200, Audi Quattro s2, and MG Mini-Metro in person at a car show in Las Vegas. Even in their pristine show car condition, knowing their history, the sight of them made your hair stand on end.

Simultaneously the golden and blackest age of performance rally.

The portion showing the drivers trying to relax between stages is sobering.

From the 2002 WRC. Probably the last decent year of the championship where privateers could possibly be competitive. Hopefully with next year's new schedule we'll see some more competition.

The shot of the skoda fabia teetering over the cliff is insane.

a prorally driver's feet move faster than a tapdancer's... especially in those 500+ hp beasts...

they were mostly 50/50 locked differentials with no traction control... left foot braking was the only thing keeping them on the road.

      The rs200 hitting the tree?

I can't recall the driver and codriver's names... but no, they didn't.

That rally driving is cool but I think the fans are the craziest people on the planet. The drivers and codriver are crazy too but people standing infront of them is insane.
