      Smile Block heater

Hey you Canucks, Anybody know where the OE block heater is located on my 2004. Is that it in the block behind the starter? I heard someone saying that these heaters don't work until the weather goes down to a certain temp. Thanks in advance for any help. tbayca.

It’s threaded, location is front of vehicle on engine block, driver sideish, and it works whenever you plug it in. Aftermarket pert number is 11405 made by Kats. Available from Napa.

I’m not sure what you mean by “Canada could be different”
this should fit all aveos from 2004-2011 with a 1.6L globally.
Do you mean Napa Canada doesn’t sell the Kats brand?

by the way, these block heaters - they are for oil pans or for blocks? I mean for heating the coolant. My is in the oil pan. Aveo 2011, sedan.

The link you give gave me five pages of heaters. Putting in any year aveo yields no results. So I guess Napa Canada doesn’t sell Kats.
canadian tire does, but it would be special order.
