Meh, Forenza's are ok. I've never seen one modded before in person, but it could be done. For a car that new I think its a decent deal.

i would pick up an MR-2. i like the older square ish body type and they usually run about 1500 to 2000, then put the rest into upgrades and whatnot. i wish i had an mr2 :(

This is exactly what everyone else in the world says about the Aveo. Don't hate son, any car can be modified. :D

doesnt the forenza share some stuff with us?

I would be good then cause you can hang around.

WHATEVER you pick, search for that car around the us, on autotrader, ebay etc to make sure your getting the best deal for your area.

I have to agree with the bmw, big money, plus i think the service interval for the timing belt (big money job) is 80k? so it sounds like its gonna be due in your ownership. I made that mistake with my wife's fisrt audi. bout it at 79000 miles (lots of them for sale with 75000-just below 80 at the time) then couldnt find a comparable with less than 100k. I bought the car only to find out 3 months later it needed a 2200 timing belt job.. i would have do it myself but the 30v v6 needs $500 in specialty tools to line up the 9 pulleys on the engine...

Anyhow. when you buy a used car keep in mind they might be for sale right before a major service is due. So if you have the choice between a 150k car without knowledge of service, and a 180k car with the service history. the 180k car is a better deal based on other condition.

good luck.

another car i would consider is the SX4, the hatch is about our cars size, but 150 hp and awd. i personally cant get past the offroad body kit they stick on the awd model, but even the non awd sedan is nice.
